Via Margutta is a beautiful street between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo near Via del Babuino and Via Condotti.
It is famous for the art studios of famous artists one of whom was Picasso. The building of the apartment was where Vacanze Romane with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn was filmed.
The neighborhood is one of the most exclusive of the city. You can stop at Caffè Greco, historical café of Rome, with a private art gallery. It is also famous for coffee, cappuccinos and pastries. Near the scalinata of Piazza di Spagna there is an old tea house, Babington’s, with a great selection of English teas and English patisserie. We suggest you make a reservation especially in winter and during the weekend.
Another place where you can sit outside for a typical roman cuisine and good wine is Antica Enoteca in Via della Croce.
Or if you want to have a picnic in Villa Borghese you can go to Gina in Via S. Sebastianello 7a which provides you with delicious take away food.
In the evening you can reserve a table at the exclusive Bolognese in Piazza del Popolo.
More informal places are in Via Belsiana and Via delle Carrozze.
If you want to relax at the end of the day you can go to Hotel de Russie where there is a luxurious SPA, in Via del Babuino 9.
